The longstanding famous southside High School football rivalry between Marist High School (4200 W. 115th Street and Brother Rice High School (99th and Pulaski) will return to Brother Rice for the first time since 2002. The football rivalry is in it's second year of return as the Crusaders won last year's contest at Marist.
The rivalry withstood a three-year hiatus from 2003-2005 when the teams were not allowed to schedule any non-conference opponents on the schedule. The Marist RedHawks play in the East Suburban league, while Brother Rice is situated in the famous Catholic League Blue.
Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Brother Rice.
The game can be heard over the air as well. WXAV 88.3 FM, the student radio station of Saint Xavier University will provide the live broadcast, beginning with a 7:00 p.m. pregame show.
