Sutherland School’s 7th I Madonnari Italian Street Painting Festival will be held Sept. 20 on the Sutherland School grounds at 10015 S. Leavitt.

Area artists decorate their sidewalk squares with reproduction and original works of art, and neighbors are encouraged to join in.

The Young Adult Board of the Beverly Arts Center will host BACtoberfest, a celebration of music, food and beverages on Sat., Oct. 4, 4 to 9 p.m., at the Center, 2407 W. 111th St. Admission is free; food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Entertainment will be provided by The Soup and The Weber Band. Refreshments include a selection of German and Oktoberfest style beers, and bratwurst, hot dogs and other foods prepared and served by Fat Tommy’s.

The annual picnic will begin with Mass at 11:30 followed by a bean bag tournament, DJ and plenty of events for the kids.
