Terra Nova Films, Inc. and the Beverly Arts Center will present A Conversation with Jeffrey Lyons Sept. 26 following a screening of the film “Diminished Capacity” at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.
An official selection at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and 2008 Gen Art Film Festival, “Diminished Capacity” stars Alan Alda and Matthew Broderick; the screening will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $10.
The Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., was selected by the Chicago Public Library to participate in “One Book, One Chicago,” and will have a screening of “The Right Stuff” based on the fall 2008 book selection by Tom Wolfe.
The BAC will screen the film on Wed., Oct. 8, at 6:30 p.m. for the general public (admission is $7 or $3 for persons showing a library card). The screening will include a presentation by guest speaker Bill Savage, PhD, senior lecturer, Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, Northwestern University.
