Saint Xavier University’s Homecoming weekend kicks off with the 7th annual Cougar 5K Run/Walk.
The race will start and finish at the campus and will travel through the heart of Evergreen Park. All participants will receive a long-sleeved T-shirt and a free ticket to the homecoming football game against Ohio Dominican College.

Ridge Historical Society and Chicago ghost hunter Richard Crowe will conduct a "Devil in the White City" bus tour.
The "Devil in the White City" refers to Dr. Harry Howard Holmes and his notoriety as a serial killer (he's been said to have killed dozens of people in his hotel at 63rd and Wallace) during the Chicago World's Fair of 1893.
The tour will visit the sites associated with both Holmes and the event itself.
Tickets cost $50 for RHS members and $60 for non-members. Reservations are required.

Chris Smither, an American original singer/songwriter, will perform his eloquent blend of pure folk and New Orleans blues.
Smither grew up in New Orleans and first came on the folk music scene in the late 1960s. Recording and performing for four decades, he has refined his fingerpicked acoustic guitar and been-there done-that voice that are perfect for his original songs.

John J. Fitzpatrick, M.D. will discuss forensic radiology in a lecture titled “Forensic Radiology-Dead Men Do Tell Tales.” It is part of the Fall 2007 John T. Farrell Sr. Forum of Saint Xavier’s Renaissance Academy, a collegial association of retired and semi-retired men and women who share learning experiences and intellectual growth in a friendly, relaxed academic setting.
