Chicaco folklorist and ghosthunter Richard Crowe and the Ridge Historical Society (RHS)are hosting "Supernatural Pub Crawl" Friday, Sept. 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
This will be a private tour of four of Chicago's famous taverns, known for their spirits - and we don't mean the kind you drink! The taverns selected will represent different locations in the city and different aspects of Chicago's history.
The luxury coach bus will leave from RHS at 10621 S. Seeley Ave. There will be ample time at each location for storytelling, socializing and refreshments. The cost is $50 for RHS members and $60 for non-members.
Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be included on the bus. Beverages and food in the pubs will be at your own cost, and alcohol is not permitted on the bus. There are no cover charges at any of the places that will be visited, and some may offer drink specials. Children are not allowed on this tour.
Reservations are required for this program. Contact RHS at 773-881-1675, Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for more information and to make reservations. Credit cards are accepted.
