Most recently, 19-year-old St. Paul native Katherine Loberg was charged with two felonies after she admitted to writing "Be prepared to die on 4/14" in a bathroom stall at Saint Xavier University.
As reported by the Chicago Tribune, Loberg struggled with depression.

The mosaics studio at Mt. Greenwood Park is up
and running, and in fact we have finished our first totem! It looks fabulous.
We have moved the studio from the first floor to the second floor of the Ceramics Building. This move allows us to have more volunteers working together and We are now able to work on two totems at the same time.
In order to accomodate the schedules of more volunteers we are going to open the studio for longer hours on Wednesday nights and add in a few more weekends... in fact the studio will be open THIS Saturday at 10a.m.

Medill Reports - Chicago
For many Chicagoans, the warmth of home is found in a bungalow. Bungalows are memories of baking chocolate chip cookies at grandma's house, block parties on Independence Day, the smell of babies and friendly, familiar, smiling faces. They are constant reminders of the past.
"People long for the kinds of things they remember as children," said realtor Mark Ahlheim about homebuyers and their attraction to bungalows.

I knew I wasn't dreaming when my house began to shake around 4:45 this morning, but my wife insisted that she felt nothing.
I checked the house, looked out the windows and found everything as normal as always. It wasn't until later when I realized that a 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred just after 4:30 ... 265 miles south in West Salem, Ill.
Did anyone else notice the quake this morning?

As Pope Benedict XVI celebrated mass in Washington, D.C., Thursday, Chicago priests remembered the grandeur of the last papal visit to the windy city, in 1979 - not only by the day's events, but by the pride felt by Chicagoans.
"It was a wonderful visit," said Bishop Timothy Lyne, auxiliary bishop of Chicago. "One of the unique things I remember is there was no major crime in the city when the Pope was here."

This is just a reminder that on Monday, April 14th we will start working on the mosaics that will later be installed on the seven totems in the playlot.
The designs are amazing. We know you all will be very impressed. We hope to have them on the website soon.
We would like everyone to come out and help create these beautiful works of art. You may have some questions - so perhaps this will help:

Student lobbyists get adult lesson

Medill Reports - Chicago
Chicago high school students received a civics lesson Wednesday afternoon, and they traveled to the state Capitol in Springfield to get it.
Clemente High School students were in Springfield to lobby legislators for more money for schools and for stricter gun laws.
The verdict is out on the money for schools, but the students' request for tightened gun laws - in the wake of the shooting deaths of 20 CPS students this school year - apparently didn't impress legislators.
