Snuffing out customers?

On July 23 Gov. Rod Blagojevich signed into law a smoking ban that extends to nearly all public places across the state - making Illinois the 19th state with a broad smoking ban.
The ban was designed to dovetail with municipal bans throughout the state - including Chicago's, which took effect in 2006 and, as of July 1, now covers even free-standing bars and restaurants with a bar area.
Considering that most area bars and restaurants are popular places to light up, how much do you think the ban will affect the way you patronize local businesses?
