Beverly Hills 60620?

The U.S. Postal Service has mailed notices to about 1,500 houses and businesses in North Beverly asking residents and business owners if they favor a switch from the current ZIP code of 60620 (which they share with Auburn-Gresham) to 60643 - the same ZIP code used by the rest of Beverly and Morgan Park.

Ald. Ginger Rugai has said that the proposed change - which has been revisited after 15 years - would improve postal services to the neighborhood.

The change, which could be made as early as January, has to be supported by at least 51% of respondents for the USPS to prepare an impact study for review.
