“Incognito,” Michael Fosberg’s one-man play about race, roots and self-discovery, is the moving story of discovering - after having been raised as white - that his birth father is black, not white as he had believed.

Setting out to find his father, Fosberg uncovered his own rich cultural roots as well as revelations about race and acceptance, family and history.

Acclaimed by critics as compelling storytelling, Fosberg has performed “Incognito” across the country in theatres and at schools, including the Sundance Institute, Goodman Theater and Balliwick Arts Center.

A writer, actor and director for more than 20 years, Fosberg has appeared on stage at Steppenwolf, Remains, Wisdom Bridge and Goodman theaters. His memoir, “Incognito,” will be published by Lawrence Hill Books/Chicago Review Press in fall, 2008.

Tickets cost $15.
