Sports facility opens in Evergreen

The Summer Athletic Performance Camps for 2008 are coming to Evergreen Park.

TP Sports Performance, founded in 2002 by Olympian Tom Pukstys,
will host athletic performance camps throughout the summer months at the Evergreen Park Racquet and Fitness Center, 2700 W. 91st St.

Camps will be held during the morning and evening hours and are for athletes aged 11 and older. Speed, agility, power and strength will be covered during the four-week training programs.

Classes will begin at 9am with Speed Performance training, and at 10 a.m. Advanced Performance training will be offered. It includes training for all around athletic performance enhancement.

On Saturday May 24th, TP Sports will host an open house opening event at the center from noon to 3p.m. Events include a SPARQ testing camp, adult fitness training camp and various prizes and gifts.

Pukstys and his staff will be available to answer questions about training for fitness or sports, nutrition and other health related issues for area residents. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The TP Sports Performance training includes memberships for individual
training, small group instruction, team training, and personal training for fitness or professional sports. There is also adult athletic fitness training available.

Pukstys will oversee all training programs and will
share coaching duties with his certified staff. "I am certain Tom will be able to impart his values and expertise to athlete’s young and old alike" says Carl Lewis, nine-time Olympic Gold Medalist.
