Who has the best pizza in Beverly?

Categorized under:

By popular belief, Chicago has the best pizza in the world. Beverly is one of the most famous neighborhoods in Chicago. So the question is, Where can one find the very best pizza in the village?

Fox's Restaurant and Pub, located on the west side of Western Avenue near 101st Street is probably the most popular place, but is it really the best? Fox's definitely has a unique style to it. The pizza is greasy and loved by many. It has more of an American spice taste to it.

The Original Milano's Pizza and Specialties, located at 109th and Western makes a classic Italian pie. It has more sauce and has a sweet taste. However, I prefer the taste of pizza at the other Milano's Pizza which is not connected with this one, located at 81st and Kedzie.

Waldo Cooney's at 111th and Artesian is another famous spot as is Little Caesar's at 103rd and Western, which is famous for their $5 hot and ready pizzas.

Franconello's, at 102nd and Western also serves pizza but is more known as a fancy restaurant.

Beverly residents, did I list your favorite above? Or is there a great place that I am omitting?

Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park residents weigh in as well. I hear Benny's Pizza, right across the street from the Ag school makes a good pie. What is your favorite?

Tata's at 111th and Whipple

Tata's at 111th and Whipple has a great pizza. Crispy crust and sweet sauce.

I'm gonna have to agree.

I'm gonna have to agree. Tata's (while not in Beverly) makes the best pie around: loaded with cheese, toppings are fresh (try the meatball and roasted red pepper) and the service is friendly - and it's locally owned, not a chain. Great stuff.

Tata's pizza is the absolute

Tata's pizza is the absolute best. I love everything about it. I used to be an avid Milano's patron. NO MORE!!!! Tata's is where it's at. The calzones and the pizza are both out of this world. My mom, uncles and broters swear their meatballs are the most delicious meatballs they have ever eaten. I don't really like meatballs but I have tried them and they are right. Thats one ****** good meatball. Forget the other places in Beverly and try Tata's.

Benny's is definitely the

Benny's is definitely the best around here. Tata's is horrible!! They served me raw sausage, not once but twice:(

I've never had any issues

I've never had any issues with any of their meats - sausage, meatballs, etc. Generous portions and a great flavor.

Hi I just wanted to reply

Hi I just wanted to reply that if you ever have a problem with Tata's pizza PLEASE call the store and let them know. Dominick is very passionate about his food and if you're not happy he wants to know. He'll always try to work out a resolution with you to know that you're satisfied. Also on busy weekends when there are other workers making pizzas, noone can ever guarantee what the end result will be if it's not watched. Sorry for the bad pizza, everyone always has their favorites.

Just so you know I did

Just so you know I did return the item and they made me a new item. When I returned home the sausage was also raw in it. I called and told them about. I said I wasn't going to return but I just wanted them to know. They were going to refund my money to me. I told them it wasn't necessary but they insisted. They were going to send a delivery person to my house. No one ever showed up. You can see my frustration now. Then a woman I know went in to talk to them because she didn't want me to be so upset about this. Now a second time they were going to give gift certificates or something, mail them to my house. They never did. Again you can see why I would be frustrated. Think about this situation if it were you and a different pizza place, and it was your family eating raw food.

I have to say the best deals

I have to say the best deals on good, fresh food are found at Benny's. Although if we are talking about different kinds of pizza then we have to get much more technical.Deep dish and stuffed varieties hold a tie- Giordano's and Palermo's on 95th. Regular thick crust dining in-Beggars, take out Benny's. Thin and crispy pizza again holds a tie but depends on your sauce preference of sweet or strong falvor- Palermo's on 95th best for sweet and strong flavor Vito and Nick's on 85th and Pulaski. Any pizza fan will agree these names are standards for the types beating out what neighborhood their in.

Tata's takes it for me....I

Tata's takes it for me....I even drive out of my way to get it or a calzone or meatball sandwich. All fresh and tastes great.

After trying the pizza at

After trying the pizza at Fox's, I couldn't understand why anyone would order it. Crust was hard as a rock. Greasy without good flavor.

The best pizza I've had around here is at Barraco's on 95th.
